Pre-history

In high school, Sharaku and Fukusuke are pushed into the basketball club because they're both stupidly tall. Sharaku hates it and quits within two weeks, but he likes Fukusuke enough for the two of them to remain best friends.

In 1997, the two of them form the band PICOPICOPON, which is the precursor to our lovely Metronome.

2005

In the distant future year of 2005, Sharaku and Fukusuke have formed their band Metronome, but they are seriously struggling to sell any records. They get the bright idea to travel back in time, believing it will bring them a little bit more luck. but will it...?

1998

Metronome activities begin. They have an extroverted guitarist, an extremely socially awkward vocalist, and a dream to become the next true New Wave band just like their beloved P-MODEL which they look up to so much.

Their lineup is unstable. Fukusuke decides to leave, for some reason. He'll be back.

1999

Metronome release the first version of one of the best songs ever composed. They are now haunted by this! How horrible! They will have to spend their entire careers attemtping to live up to this catastrophic success.

Also, Fukusuke comes back. Told you so. Why'd he leave? They also have a bassist named Yaji...

2000

...but he leaves immediately. He's replaced by Riu who, as we all know, is still in the band.
